Long fancied in Europe, this premium product is rapidly becoming
sought after in the U.S. It
is grown by protecting the spears from any sunlight whatsoever.
Our grower carefully harvests white asparagus, selecting only
the premium spears for C-Brand's fresh market customers. The
rest are canned. Prepare for cooking by removing the thin outer
layer of skin, revealing tender white interior.
STORAGE: Store at 36 - 38° F or the coldest part of the refrigerator.
Will turn pinkish under stong light.
DISPLAY: Best displayed standing upright in 1/2" of fresh
water. This will keep it fresh and well hydrated.
NUTRITION: Fat-free, sodium-free, low in calories, a good source
of vitamins C and A, and high in folate.
