Small and round compared to seedless Persian limes, Key Limes are actually more yellow than green, more fragrant and less acidic than a lemon, but have more seeds. Key Lime juice will enhance the flavor of many dishes including chicken, fish and vegetable soups. Add slices to marinades, sauces and fruit salads. Only genuine Key limes should ever be used to make Key Lime Pie.
STORAGE: Choose limes that feel heavy. Remember Key Limes can be yellow with some green. Store at room temperature for several days, up to about 2 weeks wrapped in plastic and refrigerated.
DISPLAY: Offer with other citrus fruits.
NUTRITION: Low in calories and sodium and are an excellent source of Vitamin C.
