Florida avocados have a smooth thin green skin, mellow flavor and less fat than other avocados. They are ripe when they yield to gentle pressure. In addition to the favorite Mexican dip, guacamole, avocado is delicious simple served sliced with a sprinkle of lime juice or on sandwiches and in salads. It can also be baked into egg dishes and sauces.
STORAGE: Ripen at room temperature (place in paper bag to hasten ripening). Do not refrigerate whole avocado.
DISPLAY: Near tomatoes, limes, jicama and salad ingredients.
NUTRITION: Excellent source of Vitamin A and potassium.
